Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

jaydesigns.shop is run by Jay Designs ("we", "us"). We decide how the information described here is used. To reach us about privacy, email discord.jaydesigns@gmail.com or open a ticket in discord.gg/jaydzn.

2. What we collect

When you create an account

• Your email address, your password (stored only as a one-way code that can't be turned back into the password, so even we can't read it), and your Discord username if you add one.
• When and from which device you created the account and each time you sign in.
• A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It's removed when you sign out.
• Which orders belong to your account.

When you buy something

• Your name, email address and billing details (such as country and postal code), collected by Stripe's payment form.
• What you bought, the price, and any discount code you used.
• The Discord username you enter at checkout, if you enter one.
• From Stripe, about your payment: card brand, last four digits, expiry date, issuing country and card type, and the results of security checks (security code, postal code, 3D Secure and Stripe's fraud risk score). Your full card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches us.

Checkout records, kept for fraud prevention and payment disputes

• Your browser and device details (the "user agent"), language, time zone and screen size.
• A random device ID stored in your browser. It identifies the device, not you, and is only used for fraud prevention and disputes.
• The exact wording of the terms and refund policy you agreed to, and when you agreed.
• When you open your order confirmation and download pages, and from which device.
• Each time you download a file: which file, when, from which device, and whether it finished.

When you request custom work

• What you enter in the request form: services, Discord username, project name, colours, server invite, deadline and reference links.
• Accouts are used briefly to block spam. It isn't stored with your request.

When you talk to us

• Messages you send us on Discord or by email.

Stored in your browser

• Your bag, discount code, theme preview and request form draft are kept in your browser's local storage so they're still there when you come back, along with the device ID above.
• We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies the site sets are sign-in cookies: yours when you sign in to your account, and the site owner's for the admin panel.

Visit statistics

• We count page visits, which products are opened in the shop, and which websites visitors came from, so we know what's popular. This uses no cookies.
• To count unique visitors per day, we make a one-way code from your browser combined with a random value that changes every day. It can't be used to recognise you on another day. We only keep the daily totals.

Server logs

• Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (IP address, pages requested, time) to run and protect the site.

3. Why we use it

• To process, deliver and support your orders and custom work (needed to provide what you bought).
• To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms and Refund Policy, and answer chargebacks and payment disputes (our legitimate interest in protecting our business).
• To keep tax and accounting records (a legal requirement).
• To keep the site secure and working.

4. Who we share it with

• Stripe, our payment processor, which handles your card details under its own privacy policy.
• Discord. Order logs, chargeback evidence and custom requests are posted to private channels in our own Discord server, so Discord stores them under its privacy policy.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its records.
• Your bank, card network and Stripe if you dispute a payment: we send them our records of your order as evidence.
• Authorities when the law requires it, or to report fraud.

We never sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.

5. How long we keep it

• Order and checkout records: up to 7 years, for tax and accounting, and because payment disputes can be filed many months after a purchase.
• Your account: until you ask us to delete it. Sign-in history is limited to the most recent 100 sign-ins. Deleting your account doesn't delete your order records, which we keep as described above.
• Custom requests and messages: for as long as the project and any related dispute need them.
• Browser storage: until you clear it.

6. Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only we can access order records. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can see it.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it. We'll do so, except for records we must keep for legal, tax or dispute reasons. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, such as objecting to how we use your information or complaining to a data protection authority. 8. Children

The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Buyers under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission (see our Terms).

9. Where your information is processed

Our providers (Stripe, Discord and our host) may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, they use approved safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
